TRANSPORTING PORTALIFT HOISTS
- Lift the cradle off the lower limit switch.
- The cradle should be supported and/or strapped to the hoist leg to prevent cradle movement over rough terrain.
- If the hoists are not being transported over rough terrain or long distances, lifting the cradle off the lower limit switches is enough.
This applies to both, Portalift and Econolift Hoists.
On Portalifts, the chains need to be strapped in two places, close to the rollers, to prevent the chains slapping about and possibly jumping off the rollers.
WARNING:
The hoists are TOP HEAVY.
Follow manufacturers handbook for approval lifting points.
Lift from approved lifting point and strap to deck.
