How To Transport Portalift and Econolift Hoists

Transporting Portalift Hoists - Lift the cradle off the lower limit switch. The cradle should be supported and/or strapped to the hoist leg to prevent cradle movement over rough terrain. If the hoists are not being transported over rough terrain or long distances, lifting the cradle off the lower limit switches is enough. This applies to both, Portalift and Econolift Hoists.

Chain Maintenance and Inspection Service. The chain supplied by Endurequip Hoists is manufactured according to DIN EN 818 – Parts 1&7 – 2002 and is of a ‘calibrated’ type required for use with the driven pocket chain wheel. This type of chain has a high level of dimensional accuracy over the entire length of chain to enable optimum fit, smooth and low wear running conditions with the pocket wheel.

On Portalifts, the chains need to be strapped in two places, close to the rollers, to prevent the chains slapping about and possibly jumping off the rollers.
